Newclay NC

Newclay is an off-white modelling clay which naturally hardens when finally left out to dry. Newclay does not require the expensive use of a kiln or any special preparation. The clay is nylon re-enforced which enables even young children to make strong models. However, for older pupils there are hardeners which when applied will increase the strength still further. Newclay can be used for both large and small items and unlike other clays can be glued using P.V.A. to a variety of additional materials such as wood, card, string, wire or cloth. The work can be decorated in a number of ways using ordinary paints or colouring materials. If the clay unintentionally dries, simply break into small pieces, place in a polythene bag, sprinkle with water and leave until soft and workable again.
